Arrows and Hoods have disappeared

Hello Cainfaer, this is still being worked on and was reported here before multiple times. I sadly can't give you a date or version in which this issue will be fixed. But I guarantee you that it's still on our radar. See this thread and this thread. I'll be moving your thread to duplicates...

3.3.0 Bow and Crossbow ammo display problem

Hello Neckyo, thank you for confirming that the issue is still around. Must have been missed in the announcement in the known issues. I did just check and the issue is planned to be fixed for a upcoming update (Not Next One). I'll make sure that the issue doesn't disappear from our radar.

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

I think you mean a 13+ year timeframe for development. That’s is a bit ridiculous. But the fact they keep updating and are still committed to the finished product instead of calling it quits isn’t ridiculous. It’s great! I’m very appreciative they never abandoned it.

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

4.0 is going to have to have every part of every 3.x so they’ll either have to upload every 3.x change to 4.0 and deal with issues or they can all work from 4.0 adding features to it making sure there are no conflicts and then create a 3.x build by removing the parts that aren’t ready. In the...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

I agree with you if it was something they did on a regular basis or if it was just random new skins. But holiday-themed skins are somewhat expected—especially for Halloween and Christmas. People requested Halloween and Christmas themed skins and props years ago during those seasons way before...

Another limit may be at 32768 aka 2^15 if they used signed short integer for the number or use 1 bit as a flag for something.

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

If? They could. Proof is in the hotfixes they pushed two days later. They didn't need to wait until 3.5 to push those simple code alterations. They just pushed them. Its all just code. It wouldn't be an empty patch-- it would be costumes. That's something. People wouldn't update? So what? It...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

At the risk of "falling for it again" I will just point out that pushing costume DLCs are not dependent upon any one particular mix of other update content. They could've pushed out the costumes all by themselves as their own update and say "Happy Halloween". They didn't need 3.4 stable to do...

Time to reflect

They did not need to release 3.4 stable to get their DLC/Skins out in time. They easily could have released the skins all by themselves as a dedicated Halloween skins update. You are assuming the only way to get the skins out was to pair it with 3.4 stable and that just isn't true. You're right...

Time to reflect

That is what you said in your opening monologue but then as the thread went on you progressed to quite a bit of doom and gloom. You said this: And then followed it up with two long AI posts as proof that the game was heading into oblivion. That's not to say you didn't post it all out of love...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

To get every possible sale even 2 months is not too long, stores are showing that (you yourself brought that as an example). If we assume that online-skin sales function differently though (and I suspect as much) then the basic advertising rules you reference that "everyone knows" may very well...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

Yes. We all are speculating, especially when we apply motives to TFP. Well, they seem to have done this "test" or whatever it was with 3.3 as well (at a minimum), there were serious bugs they warned about left in stable as well (if I remember correctly). Maybe it is not even a test, but...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

I don’t disagree that themes more in line with the game would be great. I’m betting, though, that if they did that there would be a back lash that those skins should have been included in the base game to begin with. At least with the current crop of skins nobody thinks they should have been...

V3.4.0 Stable

What’s the criteria? If bandits are out and the main team is underway with the 5.0 story update will you be satisfied? What if by next year we are on version 4.3 but the number of DLC skins has also doubled. Will that invalidate the work on bandits? What if you don’t like bandits and toggle...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

The basis for my assumption is the fact that the studio is still going strong 13 years in and has been acquired by a larger company who most certainly did their due diligence into the financials. People who are angry about the direction of development like to cope by fantasizing that the...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

First, why assume they have limited resources to the point that hiring a team to do dlc skins hurts bug fixing? If they have it budgeted then there’s no harm. Secondly, if it brings in income then how is it a waste? Philosophically, I’m against the practice and I have no interest in skins...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

Where did I defend the practice? All I did was explain the reality of why DLC skins don’t come at the expense of bug fixes. I agree that DLCs ought to wait until the base game is complete. But that doesn’t mean I can’t point out the huge logical flaw that people continue to make. TFP has...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

Games? I am speaking about a lifeline for the developer, not a game. I suspect some the publisher buyouts of developers (except the slew of buyouts by microsoft a few years ago) happened because the developer needed money, though that is pure speculation. What the majority of players want and...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

First, are you sure the game needs a new release for a skin DLC at all? The advertising on the front page could be downloaded fresh from a server when a game starts. But since we are speculating, I agree it is more likey that it is baked into the executable and needs a patch. If the latter is...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

There is no reason to rush the transit to stable just for a DLC. If TFP were on the brink of bancrupty that could be a reason, but with BI owning them a week later does not matter. I find it more likely that console players not being able to participate in experimental is the reason they keep...

Macrotransactions are what matters now.

Maybe the high price is a reaction to steam sales and the custom of many players to buy anything only when it is reduced, or adapting to the price schemes typical on console !? Anyway, isn't it nice that people have something to complain about while they wait for the next free content patch...

Multiplayer Needs a Clear Development Priority

If I recall correctly, achievements were initially added by TellTale Games for their version of the client on the consoles. Shortly afterwards a similar set was added on Steam. This is pretty common for a lot of similarly limited co-op games. The difference with 7 Days is that the limit is not...

That's a fine topic for discussion, but not here in the Support section. Please head over to Pimp Dreams if you have ideas for the game, or General Discussion for... general discussion about the game. :) Note also that most users you talk to here are fans, not 7DtD developers. I'll lock this...

We have to live with bugs if we want holiday themed dlc

Seriously guys... I'm worried that the hand slap mark on my forehead is becoming permanent. I promise you that the guys they have assigned to making DLC skins are not the guys they would EVER assign to fixing bugs. The idea that bugs aren't getting fixed because DLC skins are being worked on is...

Windows Building Blocks Facing

Noting that this is because terrain blocks are diamonds, and not cubes, so it is easy to make the 45 degree angle accidentally. @Tarakis Have to pay attention to the compass direction as Qnut stated.

Today, I did fix a funny new bug that popped up from an artist changing a crate model a few days ago, that made the air drop crate 100 times the size. Testers were surprised when that monster fell from the sky.

I doubt this is possible with 7D2D and doubt this happens in all of game development Fataal told us that they do all their work on the upcoming major version and then backport some of the easy or important ones to current minor version. So I don't see how your example would occur here. What...
