I got my Steam Machine on Monday and installed 7 Days to Die on it and the pop up asking if I wanted to enable discord integration came up when I booted up the game for the first time. Seems like it is still active.

Good points. Though to be fair there is support for mods, it just isn't coming from the developer of the base game, it is the developer of the mod. Because of this mods in active development should be prefered
I would recommend limiting qualities for crafting, even down to max 1. It would make it possible to craft an M60 early, but that M60 would likely be worse than a quality 4 to 6 tactical assault you could loot and likely have upcycled with magnitude bonusses.
There is a fix coming, but sadly didn't make it in time for this release.

I am very sure this is already the case. I have a bedroll down and I can choose to respawn near my death location. It may be possibly that an option prevents this in your case or a server setting

Good to know. I realize my case was purely anecdotal so it’s good to get feedback from someone running a server at 8 or fewer people that has experienced it. In my case we all start together, all do the starting tutorial, and the first digging quest so it never has come up.
No "current" plans to allow quality crafting of item mods. The idea with these was to make looting a little more exciting. Vehicle mods can be found in workbench, Pass-n-Gas crates, and zombie loot. Drone mods can be found in Mo Power crates around loot stage 150. I'll see if I can work these...

Normally the Intro Buried Supply quest can be started again if failed on the next day. We do have a bug currently around which prevents this under curtain conditions. We are currently working on a fix that the failed intro quest gets offered immediately after failing it to avoid this issue...
