Terms of Use
Last updated: July 2026
These Terms of Use apply to the Curbolt website (in particular curbolt.de / curbolt.net) and its community features. They are complemented by our Imprint / Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and acceptance
By using the website—and especially by registering, signing in, or uploading/publishing content—you accept these Terms of Use. If you disagree, you must not use the community features.
The service is intended for users aged 16 or older. Where required by law, minors may use the service only with parental/guardian consent.
2. The service
Curbolt provides information, tools, and community areas related to the game “7 Days to Die”, including:
- news, downloads, and helpers,
- community mods (uploads, votes, favorites, collections, posts),
- RWG seeds and related content,
- comments and reports.
Features may be changed, limited, or discontinued. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted or error-free availability.
3. User accounts
Some features require an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate and up-to-date information,
- keep your credentials confidential,
- be responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts for violations of these terms, applicable law, or abuse.
4. User content
“User content” means any content you submit or transmit, including text, comments, metadata, screenshots, avatars, seed data, files (e.g. ZIP archives), collections, and reports.
You retain ownership of your rights in your content to the extent permitted by law. By uploading or publishing, you grant Curbolt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to store, technically process, make publicly available, reproduce, and distribute the content as needed to operate, moderate, back up, and present the website.
You warrant that you hold all necessary rights (including rights in code, assets, text, and screenshots) and that the content does not infringe third-party rights.
For community mods and similar files, you should provide an appropriate license notice and, where available, a source URL. Upload third-party content only with proper permission.
5. Prohibited content and conduct
In particular, content and conduct are prohibited if they:
- violate applicable law, youth protection rules, or third-party rights (copyright, trademark, personality rights, etc.),
- contain or promote malware, exploit payloads, credential theft, abusive cheat tools, or other harmful software,
- are abusive, discriminatory, threatening, unlawfully pornographic, or otherwise unacceptable,
- constitute spam, scams, phishing, or misleading advertising,
- disclose third-party personal data without a legal basis,
- technically abuse the platform (e.g. unwanted scraping, bypassing limits, automated mass uploads),
- clearly and unlawfully violate the game rights holders’ rules or terms.
We are not obliged to pre-screen user content, but we reserve the right to review, reject, edit, block, or delete it.
6. Moderation and reports
Submitted community content may be subject to approval or review. We may remove or reject content at any time, especially where there is suspicion of illegality or breach of these terms.
Users may report content via the in-site report feature or by email to abuse@curbolt.net. Please include the affected URL and a short explanation.
For copyright complaints, please provide as much detail as possible (affected file/URL, rights ownership, contact details).
7. Downloads and use at your own risk
All downloads and install guidance—including community mods, modlets, maps, and seeds—are provided “as is”. No warranty is given as to functionality, compatibility, freedom from malware, or absence of damage.
Where possible, scan files with up-to-date security software and back up game data before installing. Use is at your own risk.
Third-party trademarks and product names (including “7 Days to Die”) belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of material contractual duties and limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damage. Product liability under applicable law remains unaffected.
For user content and resulting damage we are liable only within the statutory framework for hosting providers and, where required by law, from the time we become aware of a specific infringement.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms of Use when the law, features, or security requirements change. The version published on this page applies. For material changes affecting signed-in users, we will aim to provide reasonable notice (e.g. on the website).
10. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer protection rules at the user’s place of residence provide otherwise.
If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
