7 Days to Die V3.0.1 B4 Experimental Update Released – First Post-Launch Fixes Arrive

The Fun Pimps have released the first V3.0.1 Experimental Update for 7 Days to Die, delivering a comprehensive collection of bug fixes and stability improvements following the recent launch of the "Dead Hot Summer" update. While this build doesn't introduce new gameplay features, it focuses on improving the overall experience by addressing issues reported by the community during the first days after the V3.0 stable release.

Sign Tech and Cosmetic Fixes

One of the primary areas of focus is the new Sign Tech system introduced in V3.0. The developers have improved error handling and fixed an issue that could trigger an ArgumentNullException when players joined multiplayer games.

Several cosmetic problems have also been resolved, including missing character arms on multiple male and female outfit variants as well as issues affecting the Beachwear Cosmetic Pack.

Gameplay and Multiplayer Improvements

The update fixes several gameplay issues that impacted both single-player and dedicated servers. Players can once again pick up user-placed objects inside trader claim areas, while a bug allowing PvP damage despite disabled killing settings has also been resolved.

Additionally, nighttime airdrops now correctly spawn when the corresponding sandbox option is enabled, and zombie kill challenges using the Celebrate option now properly register on dedicated servers.

User Interface and Sandbox Fixes

A number of interface improvements have been implemented, including fixes for overlapping localized text, incorrect splash screen behavior, and issues where custom preset summaries failed to update after changes were made.

Players using the Shape Menu will also no longer accidentally favorite blocks while typing search terms, making building workflows smoother.

Additional Bug Fixes

  • Improved Sign Tech error handling.
  • Fixed multiple Beachwear Cosmetic issues.
  • Resolved missing arms on several character outfits.
  • Fixed item degradation resetting after reconnecting to servers.
  • Corrected zombie loot bag names and missing inventory action buttons.

Experimental Testing Continues

V3.0.1 Experimental is another maintenance update aimed at polishing the massive "Dead Hot Summer" release before these fixes are rolled into the next stable version. The Fun Pimps continue to monitor community feedback and are expected to release additional experimental builds as testing progresses.
